Getting to know Khiza
As a musical talent, groundbreaking producer Khiza is definitely back and bigger than ever, with his latest album ‘Turning Point’ having been released in the summer of 2009; still going strong today.
Khiza, your latest Album ‘Turning Point’ was released in July 2009 and has been doing amazingly well, but for those who have yet to hear it, could you talk us through the album?
The album is a twenty track album, but there’s no specific genre. It covers all the different types of music you could think of, from R&B and Drum & Bass to Bhangra and we’ve got some great artists like Abrar Ul Haq , Hadiqa Kiani, and Omar Nadeem to name a few.
The album is getting some great reviews in the UK, the fans definitely love what you have to offer, how is the album being received in other countries?
I actually just recently got back from a tour over in Pakistan and the album is doing great, everyone over there is showing some great appreciation for the music and the response, particularly toward the tracks by Omar Nadeem and Abrar Ul Haq. It has been amazing.
You’ve also got some pretty great videos to go along with the tracks that we have seen so far, are there any more to come?
Yeah we’ve got seven videos in total to go alongside the album and we’ve just finished shooting a few. So yeah, I’ll definitely be having some more great videos coming along soon.
There are a lot of mainstream artists nowadays that move towards Bollywood music; would you ever consider that?
Well actually that’s how I started off, working with Tips Music I was able to introduce stars like Abrar Ul Haq, Atif Aslam and Hadiqa Kiani to Bollywood but for me I would want it to be the real deal and it would have to be something I could take my time with.My latest album ‘Turning Point’ actually has three tracks that are set to be used within Bollywood movies but unfortunately I can’t give anymore away on that right now.
Finally, you have such a busy schedule, what do you do to relax?
To be honest I don’t really get the time to relax, I’m constantly busy so any downtime I do have is mostly when I’m sleeping on an airplane or watching a movie but other than that its normally chock a block.
