Written by Vincenzo Natali, Antoinette Terry Bryant and Doug Taylor and directed by Vincenzo Natali Splice has finally made its way to the UK cinema screens. Splice explores a dark vision of genetics, following fantastic and rebellious scientists Elsa and Clive who ignore the ethical and legal questions and begin splicing together human and animal DNA resulting in the creation of a new organism named “Dren.” Elsa and Clive become superstars but their failure to consider the true ethical questions results in the bond between themselves and the beautiful Dren to turn deadly.
